Isabel Forner Piquer

She holds a degree in Biology from the University of Valencia and in Marine Sciences from the University of Alicante. She obtained her PhD in Life and Environmental Sciences in 2018 from the Polytechnic University of Marche (Italy). Since the beginning of her research career, she has focused on studying the effects of environmental pollution on fish health.
After several years abroad, she returned to Spain in September 2024 with a Marie S.
Curie Fellowship and is currently working at the Institute of Marine Sciences of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) in Barcelona. She combines her work as a postdoctoral researcher with science communication.
